English Translation of Ang Pagiging Bakla ay Pagkabayubay rin sa Krus ng Kalbaryo

Being gay is to be impaled for a lifetime
on the cross of Calvary.
You will carry that cross on your shoulder
while ambling through street to street.
The road will not always be concrete or paved;
often it will be rocky, muddy, or weed-overgrown.
Consider it a boon if no one stones you,
or dares to burst and mock you.
Keen, dagger-eyed glances have to be endured,
or disdainful muttering, and raucous laughter.
No need to look their way, no need to recognize them,
for they all have different faces: young, old,
male, female, mother, father, child, sibling,
